Friends,

One of my friends sent this by email on the same day that I heard this hilarious anecdote from another. Tired of cockroaches in their home, our friend not only unleashed a war on these - he also went ahead and texted his family about how the American terrorists were being found dead in his property! His smart daughter was quick to laugh but her German boyfriend  freaked out and suggested he seek protection from the Indian Embassy and notify the government!  Before you call 911 on these periplaneta americana, or use the most poisonous concoctions which you have to breathe too, try the recipe to serve to these terrorists. WORD OF CAUTION: DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE PETS OR CHILDREN!!!

1. Just visit any pharmacy or shop & get Boric Powder.

2. Mix it with sugar & make it a dough.

3. Make it round balls of it.

4. Keep these round balls below the kitchen sink, corners of the kitchen &
wherever it is infested.

5. You cannot believe it. In 24-hours they vanish. It seems they hate the
smell of this combination chemical.

6. Do this once a year. Your house will never be visited by cockroaches.

Make your own counter-top cleaner!
absolutely by
Balaka -- unbelievable!

It's simple! So simple, you won't believe it works!
Whenever you squeeze out juice of lemons, put those skins in a glass jar ( I use an empty pasta sauce bottle) and fill it up with white vinegar. On the lid, put the date with a sharpie for you to keep track of time. You may keep adding lemon (or even lime or orange) peels and vinegar until the jar is full. Keep the jar tightly closed in your pantry shelf for atleast two weeks. You will observe a color change in the white vinegar medium.

You have two options after two weeks. If you are lazy like me, or with a run-down blender, simply shake the bottle and strain out the fluid into an empty and washed spray bottle. It should be washed and clean to make sure there are no other chemical remnants of the previous concoction. A mix of different chemicals is never a good idea because a completely unwanted reaction may take place. The new liquid in the spray bottle not only will smell of citrus, it will be a completely healthy cleaner for all your surface. For wood floors and leather sofas, test the fluid in a corner not very visible to make sure it is accepted well.

Now, the other process is to blend the whole mix in a blender and strain the fluid. The pulp can again be added to vinegar to make a next batch of a slightly different proportions. If you do not intend to do this, simply scrub your kitchen sink with the pulp residue and run it through the insinkerator. The entire drain pipe area will smell good too! A true citrus flush for your kitchen!

If you intend to use it, give a "like" and "share" with friends. Enjoy the chemical-free cleaner!

Trip to Recipe For Success!

Today, I went to the Recipe For Success office at 4400 Yupon St. and was quite mesmerized by the quaint look and charm of the place.Tucked in an alley along the Richmond Road, not too far from the downtown area and the museum district, the office of Recipe of Success is an old two-story lemon-yellow colonial style house. Even the bright summer sun did not take away even a ray of its pastel beauty as it stood at the corner plot like a princess in spring. You almost feel you stepped into history. Had I not checked the Google map images, I would have woven through the alley maze expecting to find an office building somewhere! The front office is the living room and you hesitantly enter the inner chambers by the kitchen and pantry. It doesn't seem all about cooking and growing vegetables until you start talking to the coordinators about the curriculum and the structure of the lessons. You may have guessed it already that Recipe For Success is a non-profit organization that is promoting healthy eating habits and rebuilding the lost connection we  had with food coming directly from nature as opposed to the current trend of eating out of packets. I wouldn't be surprised if a good number of students think of an actually existing pizza tree. Healthy eating habits is so vital to the process of the general well being, the sooner the children of this era get it, the better for them. I am happy to even contemplate being a part of this meaningful movement.
